ok, i will believe you, sure . you can't even comprehend the situation you are fighting so i wouldn't expect you to understand the quote. just stay in CA, they need people w/ your narrow, shallow mind there.

I'll be happy to drive around your ignorant shithole of a state when I go to visit Texas next time. Utah is prettier anyways.

just take a southern route and go through mexico - you will probably feel more at home there. i am sure you can get from CA to TX pretty quick through mexico since you are pro their legalization - you should go down there on your way and let them know how you feel, i am sure the coyotes will probably give you the quick route and give you a good deal and may not hold you for ransom :D

plus, don't forget TX is looking into a law like the AZ one too.

When you're earning millions illegal immigration ceases to be a problem and becomes attractively priced domestic help.

Feds don't have as much spare time on their hands to be racist as Arizona sheriffs apparently do. They're too busy going after real criminals (the kind who hurt and kill people). Not just brown people with insufficient documentation.

Are you familiar with the term 'illegal'? Did you miss that ILLEGAL immigrants are real criminals?

so the AZ rancher who was killed by the immigrant recently and the pinal county AZ sheriff that was ambushed by drug smugglers, both along illegal immigrant routes are not crimes?

No because they were just trying to get here to pick strawberries or tomatos because Americans dont want to. Theyre just trying to provide for their family.

america should be growing low labor crops, like the ones that are already heavily mechanized like wheat.

like it or not the folks that bend over backwards for illegals tend to be hypocrites, the type that love to claim that high price for oil will spur the development of alternative energy but suddenly that type of thinking doesn't' apply when it comes to cheap slave labor. we have 2 million in jail, and a constant supply of cheap labor that devalues so many jobs, its not just farm workers, even other jobs like meat packing plants which used to give americans lower middle class wages are now nothing more that poverty wages. you import competition for jobs that cannot be easily outsourced and you simply drive the wages down, you drive the value of the work into the ground. and this is what the pc left defends, the grinding down of americas least well off. theres twisted moral inversion going on in the left on this issue.

i am sure w/ all this going on we will see investment in machinery to harvest lettuce, tomatoes and all the other items needed in the near future. calling john deere....

there is no reason to change the crops, just manf the equipment to harvest it. sure, some r&d $$ will be needed, but i am sure a lot of that could be put off to the general public through "lettuce harvesting competitions" just like the gov does w/ autonomous desert race vehicles. the time is upon us for this to take place. mexico needs to fix its own problems, our gov needs a decent immigrant plan (not amnesty for all who cut in line) and our companies need to be held responsible and punished for the exploitation of the cheap labor which is killing the inventive spirit.

You probably think I'm more left than I would claim (being that I'm Canadian), but I don't think this is a left/right issue.

I think the right (at least the people in power) want immigrants around just as much as the left. Cheap labor benefits big business. They just have to talk the talk of standing strong against illegals to pander to their constituency.

From my point of view up here, everyone in power in the US wants the illegals around and benefits from illegal immigration. That's the issue. And you guys allow the crap to continue by making it into some kind of partisan debate that doesn't actually exist between those with power.

It's the exact same thing as expanding government. You guys make it into some left/right thing but every politician is out to do it.

No one is forcing the illegals to come here. The illegals can go back to their own country. If the mexicans don't want to be exploited, guess what? They should go back to Mexico and stop stealing American jobs.

Of course someone is forcing them to come here, employers that are willing to give them jobs. All the people that enjoy the cheap slave labor they offer.

Let's be serious here, people picking onions aren't stealing American jobs. But if you want to pick onions, then go after the businesses that are hiring these illegals.

The illegals are not forced to come here. They choose to come here out of their own free will, illegally. We, as a sovereign country, have the right to evict them.

true but in this case its the left wing politicians and activist groups who are throwing the hardest fit about this arizona issue right now.
