I have no doubt there are many mom and pop computer stores in Phoenix. All you gotta do is hook ol Bessy up to the surry and mosey into town. Go two blocks past Big Dick's Drygoods Store to the schoolhouse and ask the school marm where they are. She's from back east and they know all about that stuff there.

When I lived in Phoenix for a short while about 2 years ago, Fry's was a good place. The customer service wasn't the best, but they had pretty much everything in stock.

What are you looking for that you can't get at Fry's?

I just hate paying retail. :D One of the big Internet computer stores (for the life of me I can't remember the name) was located in Denver (I used to live in Colorado) and you could do local pickups there.

Well as has already been stated, small computer stores tend to be higher priced. They also tend to have much less inventory.

I don't know of any of the major internet retailers (ie. newegg, mwave, etc...) being stationed in or near Phoenix. Maybe someone else knows that.
