A pretty 😎 quiz compliments of Encarta on-line:

A phobia is an exaggerated, persistent, and overpowering fear of ... well, just about anything. From knees to vegetables to otters, the subjects of these intense fears are irrational by definition. Their names, however, are quite rational; most are derived from Greek or Latin. So dust off that classics dictionary and find out just how much you know about fear.

Phobias Quiz: How Much Do You Know About Fear? 🙂

7 out of 10. Agoraphobia got me, because I second guessed myself. I really should've known that one. I also missed the arachi one and the bridge one (had no idea on the latter, but changed my guess from right to wrong). Oh well!

The answer to question #10 is kind of funny, the person with the phobia of long words would be to scared to tell anyone the medical name for their phobia cause the word is too long.😀

afraid of knees???? I guess you could get real fat and loose that fear since you will never see your knees again.

8/10

The bridge one got me and suprisingly the fear of flying one. I thought of the aviary when i saw aviophobia, stupid birds

Yeah, but in the back of your mind, you know they're still there :Q

I got 8 out of 10, but had to guess about 2 of the correct answers. I cannot believe there is actually a word for "Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth". Irrational indeed. Arachibutyrophobia. Has a nice ring to it. 🙂
