phobia: how many mobo have u crack while installing hsf?

I think you're being a little overzealous about it if you're cracking the motherboard.

i have never damaged a piece of PC hardware (probably built 10 computers and repaired countless others). i've had them die of their own accord, but i've never broken anything.

Never cracked anything, but the screwdriver slipped once and gouged the PCB. Fortunately didn't sever any traces.
