how can i read the note? i assume there is a light in the room. also, the button must be connected to something.

i'd dismantle the button and light fixture, then connect the light's wires and the button's wires together. that would short circuit everything and then i'd wait until they come into the concrete room to fix the button....when i'd make my escape.

Edit: Actually i take it back... what if you trying to dismantle the button activates the booby trap? (plus you run the risk of fvcking up and everyone else pushes the button but not you)

Yes, I would push the button. This sounds like a Prisoner's Dilemma situation, but I would weigh being trapped in a concrete prison by an unknown party to be just slightly worse than a fate worse than death. Having said that, it's an 11 in 12 chance of surviving by pushing the button as opposed to a 100% chance of "dying" by not pushing it. I also think the other 11 people will think similarly and/or are just too stupid NOT to hit the button.

Honestly?

1)You're stuck in a concrete box with no escape.
2)You have no reason to believe you'll get rescued anytime soon
3)There is a button which may or not lead to rescue, but sitting around is even LESS likely to lead to rescue

The note doesn't even factor into it, other than to get you to push the button quickly in case it IS true.
