Lets make this official! The past thread showed some interest.

When/where would you all want to do this?

psh, stereotypes. I've been all around this city at night, never had a problem. I go running through West Philly sometime between 12-2am most nights, never had a problem.

random thought, but Dave and Busters. its got a lot to offer, right off 95, near the bridges, close to other highways... etc.
and near the cheesesteak places, of course.

heard its a good place, don't you have to be 21 though?

I'd potential hit up a Philly AT meeting. Provided it's not at some bar seeing as I'm 18. 🙂 Tho I'd think it'd be worth the 45 min drive.

nevermind then:
Guests under the age of 21 (legal drinking age) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (a person 25 years of age or older who agrees to be responsible for the conduct and safety of the underage guests). Our N. Bethesda and Philadelphia locations enforce a year-round 11 p.m. curfew for guests under the age of 21.

hmm....D&B would be cool, but too many of us are too young. We're obviously famous for cheesesteaks, if anyone wants to hit up one of those places. My favorite is Jim's on South St

I'm going there with a fellow AT'er in May, woohoo! We are gonna do DDR together, God help him. 😀

This sounds cool. I might be in Philly from May 30th to June 1st for Wizard's comic convention. But I'm not 100% sure yet.

Well, nothing besides culture, scenery, civility, and the fact that you can venture out after dark without wearing kevlar long johns.

Philly doesn't have culture? 😕 scenery? Who comes to a city for scenery? And what is with people thinking Philly is so dangerous? Maybe its because I grew up in Reading, a terrible city, but I have never ONCE had a problem with safety in Philadelphia. I've walked back from clubs on Delaware Ave(across the city) at 2am, no problem. I've gone sightseeing in old city late at night, no problem. I regularly run in West Philly late at night, no problem. I took Septa to work every day for a month, no problem. I've walked from Drexel to Temple at night, no problem. Philly is *not* that dangerous fellas.

Gotta defend philly real quick:
culture? indepence hall, the liberty bell, the art museum, betsy ross's house... i could go on
scenery? the river drive, boathouse row, all the suburbs are just as lovely as pitt's suburbs are, beautiful skyline...
the philadelphians aren't at all like newyorkers in terms of stereotypes, so why would you think them uncivil?
all major cities are relatively unsafe. like Deeko said i know plenty of people who have never had a problem. the key is to be smart and use common sense. you wouldnt venture into the 'bad' areas anyway, b/c there's nothing there for you.
