Looking to update my old sound card, looking at the Acc edge. Anyone using it now, have seen it for as low as $60.

If you're using win98, you'll LOVE it...if you're using win2k, look for a santa cruz or Hercules GT

Actually I've read that the latest drivers work fine in Win2k. I have the card in WinME and love it! You may be able to find a $20 mfg coupon on this card as well (Hot Deals Forum)

Another bump for the Acoustic Edge. Very cool card, very stable drivers under Win2k.

you can't go wrong with the acoustic edge. their latest drivers made a lot of win2k users happier, so you shouldn't worry. if you use the manufacturer's $20 mail in rebate, you have to buy the card from compusa, bestbuy, or circuitcity because those are the only participating retailers on that deal.

The S/PDIF out feature is a little disappointing. I haven't actually used it yet, but according to the manual it can only output two channels at a time (unless you're watching a DVD with DTS).
Is anyone using the S/PDIF out for just two speakers? How is that working out?
