ack, wasn't this covered in a thread all by itself? I think you can still face only 27 batters and not have a perfect game (ie, a walk and double play or an error and guy thrown out trying to go for two). I guess it depends on what you mean by "27 down"....


there was a thread on this earlier.
for the last time, a perfect game is a game in wich no batters reach base. in a 9 inning game that would mean 27 batters faced the pitcher and he retired them all.
all perfect games are no hitters, but not all no hitters are perfect games.
