philips xpert tv-pvr 7131 v-stream software reboots

Hello All.

My dad has a problem with his tv-card.

The converter software (v-stream) of his xpert pvr plus card reboots the computer
at a random time while converting a .mpeg video to something other.

HW/SW Details:
- Win XP Professional
- Philips Xpert TV-PVR 7131 (713xtv)
- V-Stream 1.0 Video Converter software (Honest Technoligies MPEG Encoder)

Does anybody know where's the problem and how to fix it?
