Philips Seismic Edge 5.1 sound card for $9.95 +shipping (~$16 total)

I bought this sound card from pcmicrostore.com off eBay. I actually paid more (around $19 shipped) than they sell it for on their site. Yes, it's an OEM card, but it's brandnew and comes with a Philips driver cd, Philips user manual, and a cd-rom cable. It looked like the only things missing were the retail box and the little catalog that I always chuck anyway. I placed my order on a Thursday, they shipped it out via Priority Mail on Friday, and I received it on Monday. It works and sounds great - big improvement over the onboard sound I was using. I know it's not an Acoustic Edge card, but for roughly $16 shipped, how can you beat it?

Sorry, you are late to the party (repeat thread). 🙂

This is a very nice card but I wish I had seen this site before I shelled out $27 on ebay 😱 Oh well, I'm very happy with it and there's practically no difference in sound quality when comparing this card and the acoustic edge!

hi, rockethubba:

how is this card? any compatibility problem with Win XP and 2k? I am looking for a cheap 5.1 sound card. any imput would be greatly appreciated.

This sounds like a good deal! However, there seems to be a $10 minimum shipping charge that I can't get around so it looks like the total is $19.95 shipped (+tax if in CA).
