I have a Philips monitor 243V7QDAB attached to Weidian W11 micro PC.
There is no microphone socket on the PC (just headphones)
The Monitor is connected via an HDMI cable. The monitor has internal speakers (but not too good) so I connect to external speakers via a socket (headphone) on the monitor and works fine
I then try and connect a microphone via the input socket - but unable to detect a microphone.
[I have also tried to connect a usb microphone and failed]
Can't see any relevant info in the Philips manual (may have missed it) which sort of implies a Microsoft set up issue. Have tried almost everything.
