PHILIPS LCD 17 170B5CS

I just bought this LCD monitor, and I must say I've very pleased! Excellent quality overall, with high response time (16ms average, max 5ms), DVI, 32-bit colour (16.77 million), and good support.

I was at first trying to buy the Samsung 710T, but in Hong Kong (where I live) that model is not out yet. And the Samsung 172x and 710N all are only 16.2 million colours, which is not what I want. So for what I needed, the Philips 170b5 was the only one that fitted my needs. Thank god it's a great one!

So if you can't find the 710T, this is an excellent alternative, IMO.

Are the philips LCD you use is better for gaming????

philips LCD i got see before the LCD colour is vivid and clarify~!! but i dunno how about the performance in gaming because malaysia so few shop got sold it!!!

the samsung 710T is nope PVA TFT panel although it have a fast response time~!!

Are the philips 170B5CS is PVA TFT panel???

LG-Philips is S-IPS panel advocate.
I prefer S-IPS to Samsung's PVA or Fujitsu's MVA.
I see Samsung's PVA panel mon doesn't look as S-IPS panel mon.

i agree you command, the first time i saw the Philips LCD panel i cannot believe what my eye saw...... the color is very sharp and vivid color than all another LCD panel. but i dunno how about the Philips LCD performance in gaming.

i can't search any review about this monitor at internet.

like tomshardware say ms time is not meaning at all. the lowest time 12ms also slow than the hydis 20ms panel.

Do you got any website got more information about this monitor?
