I just received the Philips CRW 800 Series, Model PCRW804 as settlement for the Philips CDD2000/CDD2610 & HP class action suit. That means I didn't get to choose it.
Can anyone tell me the quirks of this beast? Is it indeed the same as CDD4801? I have seen some vague references to CDR/W writers which can be improved by firmware flashes. (mine was manufactured 1/2001, haven't plugged it into a computer to find the firmware version). Is this one of them?
