Philips CDRW 804 doesn't burn Imation CDs?

Hey guys, can anyone help me? I have a Philips CDRW804 8x4x32x.
I bought some Imation 80 minute 800MB cd-r yesterday and I tried burning with Adaptec Easy CD-Creator. The thing is, it burns 753 blocks and then everything stops. It won't burn any further. WheN I try to cancel, the computer crashes. So is the CD incompatible? Next, I tried burning when a cd-r that came with the cd-rw, and that worked fine. ANy suggestions?

CD-R says it's compatible with 1-16x
 
I have a buddy who does all my burns for me...I brought a 5 pack of the same cd-rs to him and he cringed. He said that he hasn't had alot of luck with them but that he would try. Needless to say they didn't work.

I'm not sure of his specific model cd-rw drive but I thought I'd let you know that your not the only one having problems with these discs.🙂

He swears by Verbatims.
 
Imations don't work on my Creative 8x4x38 either. Neither do white lable Memorex. PNY with fancy colors, Prime Peripherals, and Memorex with a gold label all work good.
 
Ive trashed 3 Imation CD-Rs using clone-cd, comes up with an error after a few mins into the burn, first time I have had that with any make of disk.
