Philips Acoustic Edge or Turtle Beach Santa Cruz

I'm trying to decide between these two sound cards to replace my MX300. Both have received fine reviews, and the price difference is about $10 (Philips being more expensive). I don't want to go the SoundBlaster route, so these two cards made the cut. I play some games, and watch DVDs, and I'm tired of the random screech the MX300 seems to need to do. I don't have 5.1 speakers yet (just Midiland-480 speakers and subwoofer), but I might get some when we finally find a house to buy.

Anyone have opinions on the subject?

Diamond Monster Sound MX300 (for now)
DVD Drive, CD-RW, Cable Modem, blah, blah, blah.
