This is an excellent repost for people that missed the original discussion on this drive. While already having a Iomega 12x (rebadged Plextor), I order this drive to copy SafeDisk 2 cd's. I installed the drive tonight and successfully copied Black and White on the first try with CloneCD. This is something that I wasted 6 dics on with the Plextor trying to make it work.

In general, my opinion of cd burners nowdays is you should not pay just for the name Plextor. Get a regular cd drive that extracts subchannel data and get this $50 philips burner and the combo will do more than any over priced Plextor could.
