Yeah, I saw his trashing talking to Cutler while Cutler was going back to a huddle. He talked trash too last year after losing the playoff game against the Pats.

No class loser. He'll be the reason why they don't do anything in the playoffs.

While that looks less than classy, at least he didn't whine like a bitch about where he wanted to play ball (Eli).

I also didn't hear much from his mouth while he was riding the bench behind Breeze(sp?).

Anyways it's probably just a psych 'em out mouth running thing... a la London Fletcher. Now that boy has a mouth.

I saw that the other night and thought it was pretty uncool.

Still, boo fucking hoo. I'm sure there is more to the story than what was said by the commentators and the haters on that website.

Go Chargers!!!

Funny how you don't see LT whining about 'class' after this incident

I can't believe the Broncos, and or the media, are making a stink over this. All this amounts to, IMO, is the Bronco players whinning and pussing because they got their ass handed to them.

I don't care if Rivers insulted everyone on the Broncos team and told them he hopes Santa shit in their kids' stockings... it doesn't matter. What about John Lynch taking LT's helmet off and throwing it?! Sure he apologized and he is normally a stand up guy but that act was pretty rough... but you know what? I don't care about that either.

I remember in HS, I had a player from the other team me he was going to 'skull#@$% my girlfriend' in earshot of one of the refs... I just laughed at him. Players talk mad trash during football games and I'm sure it has been perfected to an art form by many NFL players.

I'm really wanting this story to end in him actually skullfucking your girlfriend, even if it was a year later or something.. just the idea of him sticking to his goal and eventually doing it would make this the best story ever.

ummm, yeah they are...or MOST are anyway. It's all about ME-ME-ME-ME instead of the team...Very few "Superstars" give a shit about anything but themselves. The ones you see who participate in civic activities do so because the teams force them to do it...not usually because they "want to give something back to the community." To believe otherwise is naive.

That's pretty much how I see it. I guess for me it's shown most prominently in the contracts. Let's take A-Rod for example, I believe his last contract was what...$300m? Not that he should be forced to (or that I can really blame him), but if he had even taken two thirds of that ($200m isn't much though... :D) that's quite a bit of salary cap room for the team to play with, possibly acquiring better players, coaches, whatever.

But nope, must..have..$300..mil.

Newsflash: Baseball doesn't have a true salary cap and the Yankees will pay anything and everything to try to win.

another single example  yes, arod has been a douche for sometime now, no surprise there. moss took a huge paycut to play for the pats. i guess by your and Boomers figuring, then 2/3 of the athletes don't care about anyone but themselves?

and i'm sure you both are privy to any and all charitable contributions players make?

yeah, teams encourage players to get involved in their communities, why wouldn't they? don't pretend you know what and why people do for others.

look at willy nelson... clearly old hippies are all tax evaders. to think otherwise is naive.

Do they get to write off those charitable contributions? Nuff said.

You guys have no clue what you're talking about. I've met Philip and he is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.

He'll be the reason why they don't do anything in the playoffs. He'll be the reason why they don't do anything in the playoffs.

He wasn't the reason last year.

Ok then, even more reason not to go off on him for what he says on the field. This is the NFL people, not some "lets hold hands and not keep score" church soccer league. You of all people should know that.

edit: And Champ Bailey is the one who needs to understand where his stands in the league right now, because his play isn't matching up. He hasn't done much to slow down Rivers whenever they play against each other.
