He's right. Not a single person killed by cigarettes still smokes.

I'm on day five of quitting. Replacing my old habits with new ones and I have no desire to smoke now. Ran my first 5k last friday, the day after I quit smoking. Going to the gym twice a week. I do cheat and chew nicotine gum if a major craving hits.

This guy is a tool, but also has a point. Anything is easy to quit if you have the desire to do it. He still deserves a good throat punch though.

"The head of cigarette maker Philip Morris International Inc. told a cancer nurse Wednesday that while cigarettes are harmful and addictive, it is not that hard to quit"

riiiiiiiiiiiiggghhht....

He's right. You can buy damn near a year supply of nicotine inhalers from any drug store for about $50. If you still smoke, that's fine. If you say you can't quit, it's because you're a retard.

A lot of it is mental. You tell yourself you need something then that's your problem. I just stopped buying one day and then I stopped smoking. Simple as that. Only time I crave is when Im shitfaced wasted.

I've started and stopped smoking many times in my life (I'm 35 now)... The last cig I've had was in 2006, so nearly 5 years now.

I found it has more to do with habits than the cigarettes themselves. If you are used to going on breaks at work to have a cigarette, and you stop going out to have breaks when you quit, you will desire to smoke and have a break. Luckily I was moving and changing jobs when I quit, so those habits were broken anyhow and I had/have no desire to smoke since.

I quit cold turkey after smoking for 10 years and while I was a bit moody for a short time, it was pretty easy in the end.

I say no different that stopping any other habit. I get a headache after I quit caffeine every once in a while, but I suck it up and deal with it.

It's really not hard for me not to smoke at this point... Except when someone fuckin' offers me a cig and inside my head it's just like "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...".

I don't want to sound like a troll but I tried to smoke several times and I don't see /feel the "hook on" factor(s). Same for alcohol.

I still do smoke and drink socially whenever I go out.
