Pheonix/Firebird/Mozilla and pdfs.

I've been using Pheonix, and the one major thing that bugs me is that acroreader always spaws within the browser, is there a way to make it not do that and let Acroreader be solely an external app?

Run Acrobat Reader on it's own, ctrl+k or pull up the edit menu drop-down and select preferences. After that, go to options, and then look for the checkbox saying 'open pdfs in browser'. That should fix you up 😉

edit* To, of course, uncheck the box and make it NOT open in browser.

damn 🙁 maybe some phoenix/mozilla gurus know how then. If so it may have to do with the plugin...or possibly changing MIME types?

If you really hate it then just delete/rename the acrobat plugin dlls. Get rid of nppdf32.dll in the moz/plugins directory as well as the copy in reader\browser in program files.
