Phenom2 555 C3 takes overclocking to a whole new level

Already the processor was stable at 6.1GHz under LN2 and we was trying to boot into Windows at 6.3 GHz.
After a few voltage tweaks and HTT speed adjustments, we managed to get into Windows and fire up CPU-Z at 6325 MHz speed (230MHz X 27.5 multiplier).

the cores can be unlocked by that cheapo and amazing board and we can fly high of course

Is this the first of the new C3 stepping that we've been hearing about and waiting for? Man a lot has happened in 4 days since the forums were taken offline. This is exciting as it is essentially the only thing AMD has between PhenomII and Bulldozer coming 2H 2011. Surprised that the first of such CPUs is being dubbed 555 and not the 975 at 3.6GHz stock we were expecting.

Um most people supposedly have the C3 965s for testing I believe. They just can't say anything yet because of NDA. 555 is like the new 550 with C3.

Those LN2 results aren't impressive, C2 has been clocked higher than that, not to mention no one is going to be using their computer daily with LN2.
