I've just started to use the Phenom 9850 I have and at stock it used to underclock and undervolt in Windows Vista and I had a "processor power management" option when I change the power settings in the control panel.

Now that I've overclocked it the option is gone and it no longer underclocks and undervolts it. Anyone know what the issue is?

Anyone know a way around this? I have Cool-n-Quiet enabled in the BIOS but in Windows it does nothing.

Daaaamn...what the heck. It doesn't work if you change it in BIOS or in Windows with AOD?

It should be able to if you left the multiplier alone, if you changed the multiplier then the downclock will be disabled. So if you overclock, try just overclocking with FSB

I think that depends on bios, as mine works fine.

Which motherboard and CPU do you have? Maybe it doesn't work on Phenoms?
