I was thinking of getting the AMD Phenom II X4 965 B.E but sadly AMD discontinued their Phenom II X4 line of CPU's.

Now, I am blank to which cpu i should go. My budget is around 6k(INR), so i will be sticking to AMD processors only.I use my PC mainly for gaming. I have the Radeon HD 7750. I want a AMD processor to pair with it.

Your opinions will be highly appreciated. Thank you!!

if you have an Am3+ MB, the 4300 or 6300/6350 should be good...
or FM2 the Athlon X4 750K.

Agreed with SPBHM if you have a motherboard and it is compatible with the following they are decent 965 alternatives: FX 63xx , FM2 Athlon x4

If you are building from scratch should also consider Intel options.

Note: Newegg and Superbiiz still have 965s in stock.

Yea the FX 6350/6300 or 8250/8350 will be fine for gaming, esp with a 7750.

What board do you have?

Since you already have AM3+ board than it's either FX4300 or FX6300. I'd go with FX6300, it offers more (50% more threads) for similar price ;). FX will do just fine for gaming (and in most other tasks).

OK; your board supports the 125watt CPUs so try and find a 6350. Make sure to update your Bios to the newwest one if you have not yet before upgrading.

can u recommend a processor around $100. I have not bought the board yet but was planning to get it.

Not sure what prices are in your part of the world so its hard to say.

But the 6350/6300 can be had in the $130ish range give or take here. Microcenter has the 6300 plus a board for $125 in a combo deal.

Also if you have not bought a board try and find a cheap 970/870 board since you do not need onboard video. Not sure what your options and prices are?

Your board is only compatible with AM3 and AM3+ CPUs. FM series chips such as Trinity are not an option. You should compare the prices you can get on FX 4xxx series vs FX 6xxx series and decide whether the difference is worth it for 2 extra threads.

A 760k FM2 cpu would be better since he has his own GPU in that case.
