Brasil is widely known for brilliant football players and gorgeous women, but now its appears that the Copacabana is also packed with great overclockers.
One of them has managed to push an AMD Phenom II X4 975BE to a whopping 7.13GHz, setting the new world record for AMD CPUs. The exact clock was 7134.31MHz and the processor was cooled with nitrogen.
Although weve seen higher clocks in the past, they were achieved on ancient Celerons and Pentium 4s, which really cant be compared to a contemporary quad-core.
