It's time for me to get this thing overclocked. When I first picked it up a few years ago there weren't any programs that could accurately display the temperature, so I held off on bumping the voltage at all.

Has anything changed? Is there a program that accurately monitors the temperature of these CPU's?

Also, what's the best air cooler for a reasonable price, or should I just pick up an H70?

What's your definition of accurate? Generic software like CoreTemp and Everest (now AIDA64) are within 1-2C of each other, and they're probably some of the better freewares. I have a PII X4 925 under a Corsair A70 and it runs like an absolute champ, doesn't break 42C at 3.5GHz/1.45v.
