Is this dual and single channel? Setting up my first Phenom II rig. Is there anything else I should know about 890GX/PII rigs? Specifically the RAM placement and bios setup. Thanks

Ganged is still technically dual channel. It just means the two channels (2x 64bits) are acting as one.

Unganged should get you slightly better performance on a quadcore.

Single channel would be if you were only running one DIMM, or if you had the DIMMs both in the same channel.

Both ganged and unganged are dual-channel modes. In Ganged mode, both 64-bit memory channels act together, as one single 128-bit channel. In unganged mode, both 64-bit memory channels act seperately. Unganged is probably going to be faster for multi-threaded apps running on a quad-core. Ganged is probably faster for single-threaded apps.
