Phenom II 955 shows as 1.6 ghz in Windows 7

I just installed windows 7 rc on my new build. The bios detect the 955 as 3.2 ghz, but when I go under the systems tab it shows it as 1.6 ghz. What's going on? Do I need an update? Or do I actually need to flash my bios? Thanks.

Entire build is
Phenom II 955
GA-MA790XT-ud4p
4 gb g.skill
sapphire 4890
1 tb hd

Yeah. I'm not sure. I disabled CnQ and it didn't change. I turned on performance mode and nothing, but setting it to x16 in bios causes it to be detected at 3.2. However I noticed my default CPU voltage was only .97v. I thought I had read it's supposed to be 1.4? Anybody know for sure?

Hmm CPU-Z reports it as 800 mhz and only 4x multiplier unlocked. Some people say flashing fixes this others say a windows 7 update does. Anyone know for sure?

Ive been reading up on Gigabyte fixes for my board on their German forum - which is excellent http://62.109.81.232/cgi-bin/s...b.cgi?&a=forum&forum=2 even with beta-bios section not avail. elsewhere 🙂 Well the 1600mhz and too low voltage is among known bugs, and not about C&Q though that is what one might think. You should flash to F4 bios or whatever is latest. Goes for more than your model, mine needs a beta - now I just need the cpu... In case you can understand the lingo here is an example of the answer people get with same problem:

Hallo,

Yeah. Flashing to 4g fixed all my problems. I saw it in other forums as well. Thanks for the help though. I appreciate it.
