But I don't understand why are you waiting for the 9900!? Why don't you get the 9850 BE?

Phenom 9950 is expected in Q3.

Phenom 9900 would be B2 core and of course won't be released.

I found a review of a 9900. But come to find out, it was just a overclocked 9600 to 2.6ghz, and figured it wouldn't be relevant.

Ack, I meant 9950. 50 = B3, 00 = B2. So quarter 3 huh?

Well, Now that I know the 9950 is not coming out until Q3 I might just go with the 9850 BE.

9950 is coming soon according to FUDzilla. Its a B3 stepping Agena clocked at 2.6GHz with a TDP of 140W. Not sure what its NB/L3 clock is though.

Its going to be the final 65nm phenom to see the light of the day, and will slowly be replaced with the 45nm "deneb" in Q2.

Its the latest rumour on AMDs roadmap but take it with a grain of salt or a mountain of it depending on how much you trust fuad. 😛

I'd buy a 9850BE now instead of waiting for a 9950.....by the time something like that would come out you would be so close to 45nm Deneb that it would negate the point of purchasing it.
