Hi!
I just "upgraded" from a Athlon 250 Regor (3.0GHZ) to a Phenom 2 x2 955 and I wasn't gonna overclock, but that unlocked multiplier just kept calling my name.............

Currently @ 3.9GHZ @1.39 volts (19.5 * 200) (prime 95 going on 25 minutes strong AS I TYPE!)

CPU Idles @ 41c does this seem high?
cpuz reports HT @ 2000? Mobo supports 2600? What am I missing?

System Specs:

Asus M3n72 - D (750a)
Phenom 2 x4 955
8 GB Patriot LL KIT 2-2-2-12 @800 MHZ (DDR2)
EVGA 9800, erm GT250........... Stock
Corsair 750HX (moment of silence for my retired Pc Power and Cooling 510, she gave me 5.5 years of great service)

Nice stuff, what are loads temps?

Idle temp really doesn't matter IMO.

52C is a good temp if that is at 3.9, safe operating temp is up to 70C on the Phenom II.

41C idle is high considering the actual CPU core may be 10~15C higher. Your nForce board doesn't have separate power planes for CPU and CPU-NB, so whatever vCore you set is also your vCPU-NB. That may explain the high idle temperature.

My advice would be to determine the max OC using default vCore and stick with it, preferably using HTT instead of multiplier so that you can take advantage of C'nQ. That's how I have been running my 955 BE after overclocking experiment and I have been very satisfied with it. I run everything (including NB voltage, which is 1.10V on AM2+/AM3 boards) at bone stock voltages and the whole system is very cool and quiet. :sneaky:
