ASUS M3A79-T Deluxe AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail

takes up to 16 GB &

"3x Winner of Customer Choice Award - AMD Motherboards"

the 4.19 GHz overclock was for a Phenom 940

3.5 GHz @ Bit tech on the ASUS M3A79-T.

the OCworkbench guy didn't say what MB he used.

so, i'm not asking what's a good motherboard for OC'ing, i'm asking what's a good solid MB for the Phenom 2 ?

i think the ability to take a good OC is a sign of stability, but each review used just one CPU. seems like if you were going to explore the OC ability of a CPU, you would get 3 samples from separate suppliers.

looks like AT used the ASUS M3A79-T in their current buyer's guide.

i'm not sure if the AT lab actually had time to build and test the combination of ASUS M3A79-T + Athlon 920/940.

interesting how AMD used the same product #'s as Intel.

Phenom 2 at 4.19?! Wow, that's ridiculous. Didn't think AMD would ever get up to 4ghz or past it.
