yeah that would be a great device to use on someone running from the cops in a car doing 100mph+. Suddenly their body goes stiff and the car veers off the road into a conveniently full daycare center.

hell I bet there would be excellent entertainment value in using it on race car drivers and test pilots!

uh, the car version disables the engine, not the person. i've seen how they operate, and basically it just causes the car to come to a slow, deliberate stop. the driver could still steer and apply the brakes, however acceleration wasn't possible.

Well, it certainly is an interesting concept they have. I wonder how effective it was/is in field tests.
