Phase LEDs blink and then stop

So my phase LED lights come on and the LEDs on my power supply and the fans on my case come on for a brief second and then the computer dies. I have everything plugged in correctly, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of something i could be missing or if maybe someone thought some of my hardware was defective :\
