pharmacist working 2 jobs is homeless?

The house supervisor just found her typing on her laptop in the lobby @ 3am. Her reason for being there was that she was homeless. I was called to confirm she is on staff, and verified it. What da heck?!?!

What possible reason could there be for someone who is single and makes shit loads of money to be homeless?

I should also add that I have a friend who is a pharmacist working two jobs (finished school 3 years ago) and she still lives at home with her parents. Both jobs are part-time.

When I was working in Houston, there were people who lived in $500k homes, and could not pay their cable TV or internet bill.

I know people who blow every penny they have, and the scrap by to pay their most basic bills.

With the lady in the OP, maybe a gambling problem?

A guy I worked with couldn't renew his apt. lease (not sure if the place was sold or what) and couldn't find another good apt. quickly, so he moved into an empty room at the office for a couple of months.

Also, when I moved to Toronto, my leased apt. wasn't available until 3 months later. So, I rented a room in a student dorm for that period. Tiny room and a shared bathroom and almost useless cooking facilities. Man, that sucked.
