Anyone got any ideas. Installed a new Asus A7V motherboard Recycled all components (2 maxtor HD, zip, floppy, cd) except Motherboard and processor. Using 256 pc133 w/ tbird 900.
I keep getting a phantom gameport loading at startup.It of course conflicts with the
Yamaha PCI soundcard . Went to the bios and made sure any onboard periferals such as sound (which this board does not have anyway) were disabled .
I disabled it in all hardware profiles - still get an IRQ conflict. If I remove it all is ok but the damn thing loads everytime I boot. Other pci cards modem,ethernet,scsi card in addition to the sound card.Also has onboard promise ATA 100 Any thoughts appreciated.
