Could have done without the spit part, but other than that it was awesome.

2,560 fps * 1920x1080 pixels/frame * (however many bits/pixel) = Lots of bits/second

Impressive. I wouldn't mind having that toy. He should have taken it down on to the strip and recorded walking around. Would be in the babe thread for sure.

WAY cool...Of course, much of the effect is through the editing of the footage...but still...

WTF, worked out to 20GB/s by my calcs. Can anyone confirm? I'm drinking the best single malt ever right now, so I might be off by a few decimal places. :p

7.5 assuming 12 bits per pixel. pixels are R or G or B, so only need 12. could be 14. that's still a huge data stream. that's the data stream coming off the sensor. it then has to be demosaiced and compressed.

I always assumed modern cameras used 24 (possibly 32) bits per pixel. Where do you get 12 from? I assumed 8 bits each for red, green, and blue, then in the above calcs threw in another 8 since they may be using cmyk color spectrum for a fancy camera like that.

The spec puts the throughput at 6Gpixels/s and 12-bit pixel depth...

Record time on 32 GB of internal memory is 10.3 seconds Standard mode, or 5.1 seconds in HQ mode
