Phantom fading?

I just checked, and the PhF:| output has dropped for me too, by ~3K. 2 days ago it was 24.9K, yesterday it was 19.9K.
 
Mine dropped also. Causes could be: People are finding and removing the client (no upsurge in hate-e-mail, though), the PhF put some sort of timer on them (not most likely), or D.Net is putting filters in place to block them.

It is entirely possible that D.Net could program their keyservers to send "special" blocks to known PhF clients that will tell them the contest is over.
 
It also could be a long weekend where many computers (especially work computers) are turned off.

you are sorry that that phantomflusher is gone/dissipating?
I'm not.. if he wants to help AT (or anyone else) he should do that in his own name.. or even half a dozen names that he makes up.
By giving other ppl credit for his (?) blocks it's unfair for all the others that don't get blocks.
And what is RC5-64 all about if not the friendly competition between thousands of users worldwide?
IMO: the PF is an anoying ********
 
I don't think 3 to 4 days ago is part of the weekend. If PhF is declining in so many places, the dnet idea or simply the PhF is removing/re-directing blocks are better guesses. I'd keep track of it for awhile and keep us posted!🙂

I don't think anyone here stated that they are sad the PhF:| is going away. We just noticed that they are dropping and are discussing that fact.

I changed my entire herd to crack under another email address just to separate the PhF:| blocks out. Plans have been in the works to move those blocks (mine donated by PhF:|) to an entirely different "team", I'm just waiting on some responses from DNET to emails.

So I am NOT sad at all about the PhF:| going away. 🙂

BTW, all of the :| is not because I'm angry at any posts, that is just how I always refer to the Phantom Flusher:| who I don't care for at all. OK? 🙂

seems we agree on this *hooraa* 🙂, but is it possible to get that phantom flusher out? nothing is stopping him from noticing your new client/userid and donating blocks there?
Is DNet doing something to get this PF out of other peoples stats? Sure hope so, but even then.. what CAN they do bout it?
 
The PhF has definately been a bit weak the last couple of days, but we can't say for sure if it's permanent, or something caused by the Labor Day weekend. Take an average of wed/thurs, and that should provide us with some good numbers to work with.😱
 
NP, Labor Day is just one of our "midway" holidays to get us through the 4th of July-Thanksgiving stretch.😉

I was going to try to keep it as hidden as possible.

1. As soon as I would get it registered, change the DNET profile to show only the "Real Name" and prevent the email addy from being displayed.
2. I use Mika's personal proxy for my entire herd, and Mika can set up a "dummy" email account that will show up in the stats, but not reveal the true email addy I would be using.
3. I would be very very careful and avoid posting the email addy anywhere. If someone needs to know what it is, I can email or PM them.

As for the nick, there is a story behind it, but it is long and boring. Trust me on that. And it has nothing to do with Gamma Rays. 😉
