So the prime candidate for my next rig's case is the Enthoo Primo. It's kinda ugly, but it's aluminum,it's huge and,if reviews are anything to go by,it's one of the best enthusiast cases around.Let me explain my "problem".

The case I really want to buy is the NZXT Phantom 820.However,for some unknown reason, instead of its usual 250-ish € price tag,it goes for 300€ here. And while it's not a big deal compared to the total cost of the system,I don't want to encourage such behavior to continue, because the Greek electronics market is crap.I also can't order it from another country, because they charge per kg to ship electronics to Greece, and the case weighs around 15kg.I also keep my eye on the Phantom 630,which unfortunately is missing the LED strip that changes colors (One of the features of the 820 that I love) and is also overpriced here (Around 225€).

So my criteria for buying a case are :
1)Looks.If I don't like the case it's a no go no matter how good it is.Looks are a subjective matter though,so I'm open to suggestions.
2)Size and flexibility.Pretty self explanatory.
3)Price.Although having gone over the 200€ mark it hardly matters anymore,I don't want to shed over 250€ if possible.

With all that said, other candidates are the CM Storm Trooper (I hate white cases,so no Stryker) which is good enough but smaller and not water cooling friendly, the CM HAF X which is good enough but a little ugly (Good price though!) and the Enthoo Primo, which isn't the best looking of the bunch, but it's huge,it's made of aluminum and is,as the guy from 0HardwareCanucks said,"A water-cooler's wet dream".At this point, seeing as the Enthoo Primo is the one I will most probably go for (That is unless the price of the Phantom 820 drops enough or if my budget can't sustain such a case),I start nitpicking.I don't like the blue LED at this point.I don't matter blue,in fact I love it,but I want a black and red theme for my system (Pretty original,I know :p ).While the front fans with their blue LEDs can easily be changed, the side LED strip is single-color.And that's what I loved about the P820 in particular.Say I want to change my system significantly.I just change the LED color to match the new componets and all is well. Here, having a blue LED strip along a black and red system somehow doesn't seem like a good idea to me.I couldn't find pictures of someone who's done something similar. On the other hand, you'll be right to say "Just turn the damn thing off and be done with it" but if I can avoid it,I'd be happier.I like flashy systems.

Finally, yes,I will most probably set up a custom water cooling loop at some point that I have enough income. It may be a while before I do something, but I will if all goes well.So buying a big enough case is preferable at this point.I'm not too comfortable with hard-modding my stuff.

So I think that's about it.I don't think I've forgotten something.I don't expect anyone to magically find a solution, but suggestions will be more than appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any input. :)

The Enthoo Primo is steel with an aluminum faceplate btw... It is a pretty awesome case for our of the box water or air cooling though.

I know, and that's one of the things I really like about the Enthoo Primo (Although it does mean even more weight, but it's a sacrifice I won't feel too bad making).Another is the flexibility it offers. There are some crazy rigs around that use it.Bad thing is I haven't seen it in person, but still...

Now,to the point.I'm happy to have found that the blue LED strip is changeable,so my hopes of a black and red build aren't gone. But that raises some questions. The guys at overclock.net say that the maximum width of the LED strip that can fit in there is about 5.5mm.I'm thinking Bitfenix Alchemy Connect strips, but I can't find anywhere (Not even Bitfenix's site!) how wide these are.The only thing is that they use 5050 LEDs,so it should be wider than that.Bummer...Any ideas?
