PGP cross-platform compatibility question

I made a PGP encrypted file under XP using PGP 8.0 Desktop. I'm now using Linux and was wondering if there's a way I can decrypt it by installing a PGP (or PGP-like) program for Linux and then using my keys to decrypt. Or am I going to have to re-install XP and download PGP 8.0 Desktop again?

If you have the key, i think it is cross platform.
You will have to export the key in pgp though, then take the key over to the linux system.
