PGA Championship: Will Mickelson choke.....yet again?

I dunno....the guy gets on my nerves for some reason. I'd like to see another nobody win it all a la The British Open 2003.

I see Tiger's +4 for the day.....whoops. 😛

I bet $5 that he wins, assuming you are giving me 20:1 odds.

Vegas just called; they'd like you to put down the crack pipe and slowly back away.

Thanks. 🙂

Mickelson won't win. He'll choke on Sunday if he's still in contention.

I want to see Charles Howell III to win.

That would actually be kinda cool. He's pretty talented.

Haha. I was in the kitchen with my mom a few minutes ago and all of a sudden she says, "Do you see something in the sky?" So I turn and look out the glass door. I see two blimps. What the fvck?! I go upstairs, find the binoculars, go to my bedroom and check it out. One is a MetLife blimp the other is an Aquafina blimp. But why are there two blimps in view? Ah right...the PGA Championship is in town. 🙂

I really hope he does it. Problem is, Phil takes too many risks. That's why he's so great to watch though. GO PHIL!

better live scoring
He was spraying his tee shots pretty badly the last few weeks, but hit (IIRC) 9 or 14 fairways yesterday. If he can keep doing that and his putter doesn't go on vacation (it's been know to now and then) he had a decent shot at winning.

I think he can do it, i just hope he doesnt; get too cockey and lose it all, cuz he has done it before, but from what he has send so far, he is just taking this as a good early round. Hope he keeps it up, that sucks to be in the catg, of best never to win a major.

Phil can make birdies, everyone knows that, but he is inept at closing the big deal.

I predict poor driving on Sunday leads to poor decisions on 2nd shots, and that is all she wrote.

I hope he leaves the big dog in the bag and grabs the 3 wood instead.

Prediction -

Me sees a few really bad holes on sunday to take him out of the running yet again.

Phil - hmmm, over water, sand on the right and long. 240 yards to clear the hazard. I'm in the rough. I'll take that 3 wood.

USGA - doh! Stroke, plus penalty, drop before hazard, no closer to the hole.

I don't see another PGA thread, so I just wanted to add that Micheel's shot on 18 was nothing short of amazing.
It was, but it was his putting all week that really won him the tournament. He made a LOT of extremely clutch putts from relatively long range.

OT- the "Parent Cam" showing his folks' reaction to various shots was really, really annoying.
