Well I'll finally have enough income starting next month to afford a dog and was curious to which breeds (dog) fair well in apartment settings. I'm definetly leaning towards a Lhasa Apso (had one when I was a kid) but i'm not sure how they'll handle a smaller space. Any comments to what kind of dogs you guys have in your apartments and how they have done would be greatly appreciated :)

Lhasap Apso are sooo cute. I have a shih tzu myself... or get a cross breed of Lhasap Aps and shih tzu! I've seen them, and they're just great.

Unfortunately in an apartment, he might not have much choice. You can't get a large dog for a small space. And you can't get a small dog with lots of energy for the same reasons. You need something that is small and likes to sit around a lot.

If nothing else, call a local Vet or Humane Society and ask their breed recommendation for your situation.
