Hello I'm new 'round here. I don't normaly post things on forums but I wanted a reaction from lots of techies fast. I found out the other day that Trumpet Software of Hobart, Tasmania (you all remember winsock) has just relesed a Windows like operating system called PetrOS (greek for rock) that can run win32 apps. It boasts a lot of other features that windows can't like running on 2MB of Ram etc. Trumpet says that it is not a clone but rather a whole new OS built from the ground up. This would indicate that it would be far more stabe than M$ windows. Now here's the killer, Trumpet only wants $50 for the full version. The real test will be if it can run Office 2000 without a hitch, for if it can the corporate market might take a serious look at it. This could turn out to be the next big thing. I want your opinion.
