Can we all agree on this? In this chaotic world, we should keep things as simple and straightforward as possible. In this regard, there is no need to say AIRplane, as there is no such thing as a WATERplane or LANDplane. So everyone just say PLANE from here on out, as there is only one thing you could be referring to in the relevant context. Correct others as well if they say AIRplane instead of just plane. Thanks!

Seaplane denotes a special PLANE, e.g. one that can land at sea. So, PLANE for planes that fly, add SEA before it to denote the fact that they can land at see. See how simple and straighforward?
The other planes you listed are in completely different contexts, and no one would ever get them confused. "Did your mom fly or drive? Oh, you say she took the plane? What do you mean, she got here by riding on a plane of a submarine that directs its vertical movement underwater?!?!?!" See how silly that it? Plane, IN RELEVANT CONTEXTS, will ALWAYS denote what people sometimes call an "air"plane. Just simply call it plane. No fuss, no muss...
Why must you guys fight me on EVERYTHING? Just say "oh, good point Salty, that makes complete sense. You are right, and thanks!". It really is that easy!!!
