Well keep in mind we almost have 15,000 signatures. The macintosh community is growing mainly because of the Ipod, and Mac is getting new consumers everyday from it.

Last I check...The M in MSN was Microsoft....and Mac was made by Apple...drawing my own conclusions from all that...I would predict the following:

You've got a snow ball's chance in hell.

There are plenty of mac users here; it is just that they hate anything with the MS logo.

I wouldn't be so sure. Microsoft is a company just like any other. They have to please consumers, INCLUDING MACINTOSH. Microsoft will listen if we get enough signatures.

I feel like I'm in middle schools with kids and their petitions.

P.S. - They don't give a fuck.

There's no 3rd party programs for MSN? Hell, i think most people that use MSN use third party messengers like Trillian or GAIM.

What are you talking about? The iPod doesn't qualify since it's not a full-fledged desktop system. It plays mp3s, it can't IM.

All money from the Ipod is used for R&D (Research and Development) Have you seen the Mini Mac BTW? I'd prefer that over a low end Dell PC.

The mini-mac is a laptop without the screen, keyboard, battery.

Once you mac-heads will realize this, you'll know for a few hundred more, you can get the imac laptop that comes with an LCD screen, keyboard, and battery.

Do either of those have webcam support? I've tried all the replicas, and I have yet to actually be able to send a file to my brother who is running windows.

Are you referring to the Ibook?

Please understand that 15K is a fraction of a fraction of the number of MSN Messenger users on Windows. Also consider that the Mac division is separated from the Windows division. Then there is also the fact that over the last decade or so, Microsoft has concentrated on apps and tools for their own operating systems.

For about two decades, MS made available more titles for Mac than any other software company (probably still does). And they almost abandoned Mac on Office about 9 years ago, but didn't...even tho' the monetary return was far less considering the resources devoted...a lot of money was spent for a fraction of the PC community.

The latest version of MacMessenger at least has some necessary stuff...and it definitely looks prettier than its Windows counterpart. Features are nice, but functionality, at a shoestring budget, is more important.

Remember: features in MacMessenger 4.0 is currently way less than what v5.0 was for Windows. And v6.0 for Windows was released almost two years ago. You're asking for four years of development (eight years in Mac time) for a client you expect now (or expect in less than a year)

Ain't gonna happen.

I don't use MSN messenger so I don't really care. I just use iChat for AIM and trillium on the PC for ICQ.

One thing I will never understand is why Mac is still around on a home-user level. I can see it for professionals who use it for graphic design and whatnot, but home users just have no use for those programs.
