Anyway Mr. Rea was my honors physics teacher junior year and even wrote my college recommendation letter. The whole even from thursday is rediculous and by now means he deserves any kidna punishment. The physcs demos were the best part of the class, its what made it interesting.

Anyway if you feel the same way i do, please sign the petition

Best of luck to your teacher, but he is kind of lucky just to be placed on leave. With all the zero-tolerance bullshit going around, I'd have expected him to be fired - if a student had done that they'd be expelled at most schools around here.

Circulate a petition on paper at the school, it will probably hold more weight with the administration. Also take it into the local community. Get parents and neighbors to sign it.

Ahh those were the days way back when. My junior highschool science teacher and a demonstration of a "potato gun" type of experiment. Afterwards we were allowed to make them in class and fire them out side.

We still do


About 15 years ago a kid brought in an Old Fashion Musket and actually fired it off with a 1/3 charge and nothing happened...
