petition against the pheonix.net spyware-bios

For more info on how phoenix messed up the future of our bioses go to The Sysopt forum topic : Phoenix Bios is now spyware !?!

And to vote in the petition HERE to stop this Mad abuse of their monopoly position

(note to moderators : I know I have posted this in multiple forums but I think this is an issue everyone should know and the news what phoenix is trying to pull up on us should be spread around into the media as much as possible, the more ppl that know about this the more ppl will react agains this abuse .. sorry that I'm relaying ppl off this forum to another one but that thread on that forum is much more extensive in details than the thread here)

if you support this action (which I hope you do, after all it also affects your future hardware) please put this in a more offical state and maybe lock it on top of the board for a while ... if we show our power the manufacturers might quit using phoenix.net (as of now only epox has listened to their customers and removed phoenix.net from their future bioses .. let us hope other manufacturers will follow, or the future looks quite grim for us ...

Epox has removed it from their latest BIOS and rumor has it that other mobo manufacturers are going to do it also. The plan is to leave it up to individual OEM's whether to use it or not.

What the whoseewhatsit? I pay for a brand new system and they plaster me with advertisements??? I would rather pay $5 more a board then have this push software.

It used to be that people were getting free services and plastered with ads. Now we pay and still get these ads. I will put my money elsewhere.
