Well, I just got back from my annual dinner at Peter Luger's and they outdid themselves yet again. They serve the BEST steak in NYC if not anywhere.

When I left, they gave me about 7 t-bones for my dog and he is now the happiest dog in the world gnawing one the first of his many treats for the next few days...

back to my euphoric food coma....

Yup, I know there is one out in Great Egg (or thereabouts), but this is definitely an NYC thing...

The damage?

$zero... :D

Me and three other guys do this once a year at the begining of football season. Whoever does the best in our season long pool eats for free the following year. This was my year...

The bill was about $360 with tip for 4 of us. No wine just booze and beer.

Mehh.. I've worked in a slaughterhouse/butcher... had much better steaks than what I've seen/tasted there. Sure their sauce is pretty good (too sweet) I just like meat/garlic. Maybe braised in olive oil depending on the cut.

I think the Cajun Ribeye at the PostHouse is just as good as Luger's. Luger's just soaks everything in butter.

Tell you what, I'll toss another one on the kitchen floor and you two can fight over it. My money is on the hound.
