This guy has pretty much made an ass of himself over the course of the snowden leaks story. But this one is a good one. Instead of having a FISA court that may possibly think and debate whether or not warrants should be issued. He would rather have a rubberstamp court that lets the govt do whatever it wants.

This is a legitimate role of government, and when we're talking about life and death and having lived in New York through 9/11 I know what life and death means. We cannot afford to have this become a debating society. We need decisions made quickly, yes or no, up or down, because lives are at stake.

Why have the court at all if we use this douchelords logic?

The rest of the transcript probably has other gems in it. I think he even mentions NSA employee's spying on american citizens as patriots /facepalm

I've seen King several times on various news shows, and every time I do he finds a new way to make me cringe. I get that he's from New York, 9/11, etc., but we have the Bill of Rights for a reason. He seems to be one of the most vocal advocates for shredding them in the name of security theater.

Edit: Maybe it's something about the name King that goes to their heads. Iowa's Representative King is a total buffoon as well.
