Yeah that thing is nowhere near 96% wolf. Looks more like 100% Malamute. this thing I fostered for a rescue a few years ago looks more wolfy then his. His color is wrong but he had the lanky wolf build and narrow pointy muzzle. Anyway wolves/wolf hybrids are a bad idea.

I had a friend when I was a kid that had a half-wolf, the thing was massive. He was a gentle giant, though.

IIRC, if you ever are in the market for a wolf the experts warn to be very careful about your source. It's not uncommon for people to market half-breed Malamutes and Huskies as wolves or wolf-hybrids. The behavior he describes in the article sounds like a Malamute. Smart, mischievous, strong, pretty typical Mal.

I've been around wolf hybrids (I live in Alaska), and in my experience they have a VERY different personality compared to dogs, even huskies and malamutes. I definitely felt that it was a different animal I was around - even though they look very similar to "sled dogs".

A wolf would be the perfect first pet. Maybe they can rescue one from Sarah Palin's aerial predator slaughtering program.

Yes, because she started that program personally. :disgust: Oh wait, it is actually a Department of Fish & Game program that started under a previous governor.
