Yeah, nothing much you can do other than brush or wash the fuckers. I know the feeling, I have 2 dogs that shed like crazy.... basically our Roomba runs daily, and weekly I will sweep the floor.

I recently got a Dyson Ball Multi-Floor Upright (206900-01) for 50% off list price on Slickdeals and man it sure works way better to pick up stuff, including cat hair, than my ~8 year old Dirt Devil. It's a scoatch quieter and, unsurprisingly I guess, much easier to maneuver. The only thing that is a little weird about it is how the attachments work. The attachment "arm" is actually the upright part of the vacuum and not a separate component. It seems like the hose could get a tear/hole in it from repeatedly uses but I guess we'll see.
