She was dumped on Highway 395 in California near the Ghost town of Bodie, hence the name...

After having some x-rays done on her for some back and leg problems, I found out she was treated even worse than I expected by her previous owners... two BB's are still lodged in her in two different spots... She turned out to be one heck of a great dog in spite of the abuse.

Friend of mine had a pointer named Jake, big old lovable duffus of a dog. He too tangled with a porcupine, his snout was FULL of quills. I felt so sorry for him. Poor baby.

Great looking GSD.,

We really wanted one but the wifey was leary, not because of our kids, but we have a lot of visitors and relatives popping in all the time and some GSDs can be rather loyal and protective especially with 2 smal brats in the house.

btw Bacon does alot of that rubbing and getting underfoot when we first get home, kinda dangerous when you have a car seat in your arms.

 
When I went to take a picture of my pug the camera broke. lol. Poor pugs. I think they're cute, but some say they're ugly. I guess you're entitled to your own opinion.

Don't know if you caught my pics earlier, but I have a GSD, too (its my 2nd). They are GREAT dogs. They are extremely loyal. The only time that I have had problems with another "being" near her is when another dog is actually on our property. She doesn't really like other dogs coming near our house, but if we are on a walk and she sees another dog, she'll just stare, maybe some hackles, but have no agressive response.. when we get home my dog is usually on the couch by the garage door, she gets up, runs over and wags her tail a lot and pushes against your sides... however if you say anything in a negative voice at all she will stop immediately, whatever she is doing. Like one time this dog came to our property and she ran up to it and they starting dangling, but we were like "NO!! GET BACK HERE" and she immediately turned around and ran back to us and we put her inside...
yea if it wasn't clear earlier: visitors/relatives are no problem to her, she might just get excited to see them and beg for some pettin' haha.
