My pet peeve is people who have like a hundred items in the checkout line at the supermarket and wait until everything is all bagged up and THEN the checkout person has to remind them of the what they owe.

At that point they have a shocked look on their face like they are surprised they have to pay for their food. They then start digging around in their purse(yeah, its mostly women), and you can see the wheels turning in their head as they say to themselves:

"Hmm. Where did I put my money?"

People, especially smart people, who use 'revisionist history' as a pejorative.

No, revisionist history is an extremely important part of the historical discipline. Each generation of historians revises the historical record by using different, often times recently discovered or declassified primary sources to improve our understanding of the events/era they're studying.

Revisionism is a good thing.

Not anymore.

Its status was recently revised to "a bad thing."

Get with the times, old-timer!
